Episode Title:
The Anatomy of Bestie Groups: 6 Friendship Archetypes (and Why You Need Every One)
Description:
Every girls’ group has a vibe—and a cast. The Organizer with clipboard energy, the Free Spirit who follows the vibes, the Empath who feels it all, the Comedian who keeps it light, the Peacemaker who smooths it over, and the Truth Teller who says the thing out loud.
In this episode of Slightly Unsupervised, Jennifer and Jackie map the six friendship archetypes that make every circle messy, magical, and weirdly functional. They share real-life stories (Cards Against Humanity chaos, anyone?), what happens when roles clash, and how to keep love at the center—even when the group chat is ignoring the RSVP. You’ll leave knowing your role, appreciating your friends’ roles, and with a few lines you can borrow the next time the vibes go sideways.

Jennifer: Hey there, I'm Jennifer, and I'm Jackie. And welcome to Slightly Unsupervised, where best friends, business partners, and the chaos behind testimony, a ceremony we created to celebrate the kind of soulmates who don't come with a marriage license.
Jackie: This podcast is all about that friendship energy: the deep stuff, the messy stuff, and the laugh till you snort stuff. So whether you're driving, folding laundry, or hiding in your car for some peace and quiet, you're in good company. Let's get slightly unsupervised. All right, so today, every girl's group has a vibe: the planner, the free spirit, the deep feeler, the truth teller, the comedian, and the peacekeeper. In this episode of Slightly Unsupervised, Jennifer and I dive into the friendship archetypes that make every circle both messy and magical.
Jackie: They explore how different personalities clash, why we need them all, and how to keep love at the center when chaos hits.
Jennifer: Every bestie circle has its own little ecosystem full of love, chaos, and ballads. So we're gonna talk about the five of us. And I know in a lot of best friend groups, it's just the two of you. And so you can kind of listen to these um archetypes and kind of say, oh, okay, I'm that one or that one's that one, and kind of put yourself in these positions as we talk about them to kind of decide who's what. Um, and it's kind of fun to kind of have a put into words what it is that each of us kind of does or has that special.
Jennifer: It happens in families too. It's not just best friend. We're just talking about best friend groups, but you know, in families, there's these titles that are unsaid about everybody as well. So, anyways, I want to go just through the first one. The organizer, type A, Clipboard Energy, has a backup plan for the backup plan and you know, makes spreadsheets, itineraries, car snacklace, um, and gets upset when nobody replies in the group chat. They're the organizers, they make the fun possible, and then then they complain that they have to do it.
Jennifer: I'd say that's you, Jeff.
Jackie: I'm not complaining that I have to do it. I like doing it. I just want you guys back to me in a timely frame. So because when I get an idea, I want to go for it.
Jennifer: I know. You want to get it all organized and ready and getting yeah. It's like letting you loose. Like, okay, yeah, we'll go do it. And then you're like, You can go, you know, get all this stuff organized, figured out. Because there's a lot of planning, and uh you are the organizer. I can't even think of any of the rest of us that even can try this.
Jackie: I don't actually I had a memory on my Facebook. I love those memories, but no, Chrissy, Chrissy actually planned the one when we went to um her beach house.
Jennifer: Well, yeah, that's right. She did.
Jackie: She did. She did a great job. That she was like, remember we even painted, we did those little paintings and stuff. Yeah.
Jennifer: We did. She uh did she did. Well, it was her it was her hosting. I mean, we all host, right? So when you guys were came up for your birthday or whatever, I was more the organizer on that one. I got it done. Mm-hmm.
Jackie: Yeah. So you guys all put your part in.
Jennifer: I just think that you are the main.
Jackie: I reach out more to plan stuff.
Jennifer: Yeah. I think you are like, hey, we need to get together. You're the hey, we need to get together person too. Like, and just to keep everybody kind of connected to each other, which I think is good. Although we text or whatever, you know, and occasionally we need to see each other. We can't just text. It's got to be a face-to-face, which we're due for one.
Jackie: Like we all we just had a lunch, actually, and Jen's the one that reached out for that. Uh, that we all needed to meet up. We hadn't seen each other, so we actually just met up what like last month for lunch.
Jennifer: Oh, good. Well, we missed you, but sorry. I can't ever go to these things, but it is what it is. But maybe next year we should all try to figure out we can maybe uh meet up somewhere or do something that would be fun. I definitely think every few years we have to at least see each other, like get together and hang out. So it's hard for me. I mean, I'm the one that's gonna I'm the one that's the pain because I'm the one that moved out of state. So I totally recognize that about myself. So you know, but we figure it out.
Jennifer: But definitely from like just an overall view, I do think that you are the organizer and you get us in an organized position. Also, I think you like it. And it takes a certain kind of person that really doesn't mind the needing to do that. I think anybody can organize, be like, hey, bring this, bring that. But it's like the next person that's like, hey, did you, did you are you ready? Do you have everything? Do you need any help? Like, I think that's where you probably come in better. I think we can all tell people what to do.
Jennifer: It's the follow-up and the making sure it gets done. That's the vital part of an organizer's job that is, you know, needs someone that can take that on at you for sure. Don't you think?
Jackie: Sure. I'll tell. I'll take the credit. Thank you. Glad you all enjoy it.
Jennifer: Yeah. And uh the other best is that listen to this podcast. You you can decide if you think Jackie's organizer. I just nominated her for that. If you want to take that roll over, please let us know. Okay. There's the free spirit, late barefoot, unbothered, probably forget the charger, but brought good vibes. Chill. We'll figure it out when we get there. Let's just follow the energy. I'd go on with uh Shell on that one. What do you think about that one?
Jackie: Spontaneous follows vibes, reminds everyone to live in the moment and laugh at the plan falling apart. That's probably, yeah, I'd say so. Yeah. Drive she doesn't drive me insane, though. It just drives the organizer insane.
Jennifer: No, she doesn't. She's just Shell's just chill.
Jackie: We get along easy, yeah.
Jennifer: Yeah.
Jackie: I don't think she'll kind of change a little bit of the free spirit. I don't think all that's true about a free spirit.
Jennifer: So I think that like for me, like, she's just like, you would never worry about Michelle being upset about a plan change or a change in uh the structure of it. I think she just goes with the flow. Let's see what happens. We'll go, we'll see what happens. I think that she's kind of like that. She does her plan. I mean, Michelle does says I don't do plans, I do vibes, but Michelle does plans. I mean, you gotta have some structure around it. But as far as like how it goes and when you get there and what the result is, Michelle just kind of goes with the flow.
Jackie: I think Jen does too, though. Jen, yeah. She kind of goes with the flow.
Jennifer: Does she? Mm-hmm. She doesn't really care what the plan is. If it changes, we're good. We'll just go with that plan now, too.
Jackie: Yeah, I'd say so. Okay. I think we all got a little bit of all of this in here, but yeah, I think we're just trying to to to be somebody. Mm-hmm. Every best circle is its own little ecosystem full of love, chaos, and balance. We all balance each other out.
Jennifer: Yeah. I wouldn't say I'm a free spirit. I kind of need my structure. But I can be, I guess. I don't know. I guess we can all be. We definitely have had plans that we had planned to do one thing and it turned into something else. And some of those are our best nights, right? Where it doesn't turn out right.
unknown: Yeah, right.
Jackie: Playing cards of humanity in the hotel room.
Jennifer: Chris stole all the answers and we're answering the answers with the answers. Yeah, I remember that.
Jackie: Oh, there will always be a story that's so funny. That's the funniest ever.
SPEAKER_00: You can't get all mad about that.
Jennifer: So we went to a place and and our friend Chris, our friend got got had too much to drink. Anyways, we were playing cards against God in the end. And I don't know, she was like trying to cheat or something, but she ended up stealing the cards that were discarded for the answers. And yeah, the questions.
SPEAKER_00: Just putting the questions down for answers.
Jennifer: So we'd asked the question.
Jennifer: And we were laughing because we were all dying because we aren't doing it. But who's the one that corrected her? And she's like, stop the talking.
SPEAKER_00: And it was Jen. Yeah.
Jennifer: Jen's like, what the hell is going on here?
Jennifer: What are you doing? Like she got all of it.
SPEAKER_00: I'm just laughing, like, let her do it. Like, you don't realize. We know you're cheating. Oh, you're totally cheating.
Jennifer: You're stealing cards, but you're stealing the wrong cards. It was so funny. But anyway.
SPEAKER_00: It was a good girl's joke.
Jennifer: That was up in the Passarobas. Passarobas. Anyways, that but we just said Jen was a free spirit. In that particular instance, Jen was not. She wanted cop, she wanted order. She wanted us to not do that.
SPEAKER_03: Goodness. Anyways.
Jennifer: Okay. So the next archetype is the emotional one, the empath. Deep listener, tears at the commercials, hugs last too long. Wait, are we okay? I just felt something shift in the energy room. I'm an empath. I bring the tissues, the heart, and the healing playlist. I think we can there's a lot of us that kind of bring this one to the group, I think.
Jackie: We've already given Chrissy the kudos. She gives the best hugs.
Jennifer: She does. Chrissy has long. Yeah.
Jackie: But you're, I think, the good listener. Oh, well, I think everybody's good listeners.
Jennifer: I think everybody's a good listener. Deep listener, like, go deep. Like there's the listening, and then there's like, and then there's the deeper version of it, I guess.
Jackie: So Yeah, I don't think I'm deep.
Jennifer: Yeah, I'm probably like, what is the problem? Like, I want to get to the root of the problem. So I probably would be more to ask about it. I think Michelle would just be chill. She would definitely be empathetic and listening, but I don't know if she wanna take on like that far. Tears up at commercials. That's you. I tear up at commercials too, though. I mean I definitely have like an empath type of feeling towards me too. I think I could be this one, but I don't know if I'm emotional. I'm more the empath.
Jennifer: I think you're emotional. Yeah. You get more emotional. I don't know. I don't think does the other girls even cry? We do.
Jennifer: I've never seen them cry.
Jackie: As soon as as soon as everybody listens to this podcast, they'll all be texting you. Don't you remember this time that I cried?
Jennifer: Okay. I just think there's that many of us that cry, but I guess the motion because we're not that you cry. Yeah. Yeah. I start to talk and I start to cry.
Jackie: Like I have to stop talking so I won't cry if I'm talking about something.
Jennifer: I do that sometimes too.
Jackie: Yeah, for sure.
Jennifer: Okay. So going on to the next archetype. Uh comedian, the center of the group, text memes, humor, hides feelings, also saves the days. We're not halfing until someone peeds their pants or we have friends. And the comedian equal parts happen. Therapy and chaos. I think we can all be that. I think each of us bring them some of that to a to the table for sure.
Jackie: Definitely. Definitely. Everybody's made me laugh. Yes. Yeah. And peed my pants. Yeah. For sure.
Jennifer: Sure. I think that's that's important. That's a you're gonna have a friend group. You better have a comedian in there because you need someone that can take um heavy moments and turn them into fun again. Because if you don't have that, you can get stuck in some of that um lingering too long and sort of chaos. You have to have somebody that's can dive you into uh make fun of something or somebody and then change the landscape. Change the vibe, yeah. Like we can't talk about it anymore. We're gonna go have fun now or whatever.
Jennifer: So I think all of us have that. I think we all have really good personalities, which is probably why we all like each other. Because we have we come from that era of kind of I don't know what the personality, I don't know what we would call that, sort of sarcastic, but yeah, sarcastic for sure.
Jackie: Mm-hmm. The little one-liners.
Jennifer: Yeah. The making fun of each other, but in a way that we're not offended.
Jackie: Yeah, we love each other for sure. That's so we definitely have to make fun of each other.
Jennifer: I mean, you have to have you have to have somebody who can make fun of you because otherwise you can get too serious on yourself, and that can really change, you know. You gotta I don't know. I think when, you know, Justin Bieber always talks about like growing up or whatever, his mom always grounded him. I think that or your family grounds you because it reminds you of who you really are. Like when you get too too far over into one. For him, it was fame, but it could be anything. Like you get too far into thinking you're something you're not, and you gotta have this group of people that brings you back down to earth and be like, it's not who you are.
Jennifer: You got all these problems. And that's like sounds mean, but it's the honestly, it's the best thing because we ground ourselves to back to just the normal. I think the comedian in the group could be like, eh, no, you can't remember who you were. Remember that time in high school? Be like, you have to bring that up. Like, Jesus. Or that time that you stole the questions to the answers and cards of humanity, and then you were, you know, like all of that is like the grounding purpose to remind us that we are just a bunch of nutcases that get together, don't you think?
Jackie: Definitely. So we're all we're all right there, the comedian.
Jennifer: Then there's the peacemaker, calm voice avoids group drama, um, sends we're all good, right, text off an argument, the person that can we just not make it a thing, everybody's right in their own way. Um I would say more of the peacemakers, probably. I don't know. You're kind of the peacemaker a little bit in that. Really? I think Michelle's the peacemaker, more probably most. Maybe Chris. Jen. I mean, I'm probably okay with everybody fighting, but everybody else, like just go for it.
Jackie: Here's the gloves.
Jennifer: Let me pour my beer. Let's get started. Now go ahead. What'd she say? She says there's the comedian. There we go. I'd be like, woo-hoo, girl fight, let's have it. No, I wouldn't. I would obviously try to not have that thing happening, but I think that there's a mediator.
Jackie: Who would be like Chrissy definitely makes us the she's the social peacemaker. She makes sure we say things appropriately. Yes. Yeah.
Jennifer: Chrissy keeps us on our manners for sure. We've got to be on our best manner behavior with Chrissy because she is definitely.
Jackie: And you need someone to do that because we do get a little crazy sometimes and we don't hear ourselves and realize everybody else is hearing us too.
Jennifer: Yeah, that's true.
Jackie: When we're together.
Jennifer: That's true. Thank you, Chrissy, for keeping our manners in line and reminding us that we have to behave. Um, but as far as like just the mediator and avoids conflict, I don't know.
Jackie: I I'm I think Jen avoids conflict too.
Jennifer: Jen?
Jackie: Yeah, Jen doesn't like conflict. I don't think.
Jennifer: Makes her uncomfortable.
Jackie: Mm-hmm. I think so.
Jennifer: So you think it's Jen or do you think it's Michelle, the peacemaker?
Jackie: I don't I I guess they both could be. Okay. Honestly.
Jennifer: All right.
Jackie: But I I know Jen. Jen's not a she doesn't like to deal with any of the drama stuff. She'll just get herself out of it. You know what I mean?
Jennifer: Yeah. I think all of us get us out of it.
Jackie: Especially with other situations. Yeah. You know, because I'm not talking about drama within us. I'm saying like drama outside of us, dealing with other people.
Jennifer: Yeah.
Jackie: She's really good with just pulling herself aside and not she doesn't react. We're okay. Me and you and I react.
Jennifer: We're like the nuclear reactor. So we're like, what? What? Which goes to the next archetype, the truth teller. That's probably me. To be honest.
SPEAKER_00: Fiercely loyal.
Jennifer: Protective.
Jackie: No sugar coating. We'll call we'll defend you and call you out in the same breath. Yep. That's true.
Jennifer: Sounds about right. Yeah, that sounds about right. I think uh I will the truth teller, but I also am fiercely loyal. Like, watch you mess with one of my front. I don't know. Jackie used to be this way too. She's gotten nicer, but I'm not, I've gotten worse. I haven't got worse. I've just grown into it. You grew out of it, I grew into it. So that's just life happening to us and why we open on this. But I for sure will be one of those people that will come attack you or stand my line with you. And you'll know it.
Jennifer: That's not something I'm hiding from you. No. If I don't like you, you'll know about it. Anyways, we love our friends because we're different. And sometimes the, you know, this the being all the same can also be a problem too. If we were all peacemakers, what the hell would we do all day long? Can you imagine? If we were just sat around as peacemakers, like I don't know what would we even talk about at that point. We would just be kumba, we wouldn't be holding hands, like sitting in a circle, doing nothing.
Jackie: Oh, you're so great. You're so wonderful. Don't like these. The world is wonderful.
Jennifer: Kumbaya. Like we wouldn't be singing, oh my god. Oh my god.
Jackie: We could be starting, we could be starting the peak group, Jen, the pink group. That's right. He's gonna be vice president.
Jennifer: That's right. But I don't think we're the peacemakers. I think well, kinda, but still, I don't know. What if it was a whole group of just organizers? Oh my god, can you imagine? Jeez, there's six organizers. No, five organizers together all the time.
Jennifer: My God, it would be chaos.
Jackie: I mean, peacemaking would be a relief compared to five organizers together. Yeah, no one needs to try to. I've got the organizing editor.
unknown: I'm good. All right.
Jackie: And that's just a Vegas trip, right? We gotta do a Vegas trip. That's our one that I think everybody agrees on. But Arizona would be a good one too, though. I think Arizona would be a good place to meet. Yeah.
Jennifer: Well, anywhere. You decide, I don't care.
Jackie: Said you can't be able to do that.
Jennifer: Tell me where we're gonna go. I know, but Jim, tell me where we're gonna go. I'll be the truth telling. Like, no, we don't want to go there. That's not somewhere we're gonna want to go. So that will be where that will come in, too.
Jackie: Oh, wait, I'm sorry. Arizona's got too much sun for you.
Jennifer: I know. Girls love sun. I hate freaking sun.
Jackie: We are all different that way. Well, actually, no, four of us love the sun.
Jennifer: Yeah, four of you love the sun, and one of us hates it. And that's me. I don't like the sun. So it's great fun seeing that the sun was.
Jackie: That's why we have to go to Vegas, because then you can gamble while we're in the sun.
Jennifer: Yeah.
Jackie: And make you friends.
Jennifer: But, anyways, if we talk about the clashing of this, like, you know, you have to kind of, I don't know, when you have these these people, these archetypes, and they come into your group and they're people that are part of your group, that you kind of have to designate each group person to a specific thing and appreciate them and then kind of let them be because you can't uh you need them for balance and you need them for doing it. But you know, I think it I think if you have especially with an organizer, you assign one person that group that role and don't trade off, it's probably better.
Jennifer: I don't think I think one person has to be the main person for that for sure.
Jackie: Uh and it might change. I mean, age changes too. You know what I mean? I mean, we're just saying, like at the moment, this is kind of where we feel everybody's at. And I mean, the girls might feel differently. I mean, they might have a different idea to what we're saying. If they were on here, they could they could say their part.
Jennifer: No, because you used to be you used to be as your kid, you were the truth teller.
Jackie: Yeah. I didn't, yeah, I didn't candy tap or what do you ever recall that? Candy coat anything. Is that what it is? Or what is that saying? I feel like that's a good idea.
Jennifer: Yeah, you didn't candy coat anything. You let everybody have it. And so everybody got it. So um, you know, you got a reputation for being that way. So now I have it. But that's okay. I mean, everybody has to be down person. But yeah, we changed over the years too. I'm sure when when I was in high school, I was probably more of the comedian. Yeah. And then um now I'm the truth teller, so I've changed roles a little bit. But you know, I have a good laugh too. It's kind of fun. So know your role, make yourself aware of it, you know, name the energy, not the person, the planner.
Jennifer: When you're getting into sort of a frustrated part, make sure you say the truth teller to me is getting a little confused or a little frustrated by the fact that we're not telling the truth here or whatever it is. Like you kind of want to make sure that you understand your energy and that, you know, it could be be unhappy with things and you can ask everybody, you know, as an organizer too. I'm sure Jackie, you want to say that. Like, I'd like everybody to reply to my text.
Jackie: You know, I'm gonna start putting RSVPs on my text.
Jennifer: Are you coming? Yes or no? And then it just like automatically renews every day. Are you coming?
Jackie: And that is my problem because, like, like right now, like I said, I'm planning for Valentine's Day because it's a Saturday this year. So I'm like, how perfect for all of us to get together. And you know, I think the guys would love it because they don't have to plan anything. That's true. Take some heat off of them. I got need to understand. I just put it out there last week, but I'm waiting for an answer already. And I'm like, okay, just step back. And so on my to-do list, I keep seeing it, follow up with the girls with another text.
Jennifer: What is the appropriate amount of time to follow up? Is it one week? Is it two weeks? I'm gonna start googling this stuff.
Jackie: I'll be better. And I'm not mad. I just I just have to tell myself because like I said, I I I got that A D D, A D D H D, everything. I just need to do it now.
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I know.
Jackie: You know what I mean? I like to start getting it organized and ready. Exactly. It is that's my problem, but I'm learning.
Jennifer: Well, the the truth teller in me is telling you, you probably won't know till February 1st.
Jackie: No, you already told me no way.
Jennifer: No, no, I'm just saying from the group, sandboy, like uh, we gotta wait till that day arrives before we start thinking about that stuff.
Jackie: So no, we have to plan it. I have to call, I have to bocce people already on the city.
Jennifer: Jackie's trying to get this thing plan, girls. You got an RSVP with her. She wants to know if you can come or not. Can you just make a make a call to her, man? Let her know either way. So all right, let's go to the bestie rapid question. It says which bestie type are you and which one drives you nuts? I we just talked about that. I'm probably the truthiller. Jackie's more of the organizer. I don't think any of them drive me nuts.
Jackie: Um my organizing doesn't drive you nuts. Uh uh. I wonder if it drives the other girls nuts.
Jennifer: It doesn't drive me nuts because I'm an A-type personality too. And so when you take over, when you're A-type, and you can you can agree with this or disagree with this, but if you're an A-type personality, which I am, everything's gotta be very organized in my life. When you find another A type and you recognize the idea that they are capable of doing it, I'm okay going, you handle it, you have it under control, you do it well, you do it. I am 1000% okay giving that task to somebody else. It's you being able to do it that is the first question.
Jennifer: If you can do it. And then it's a I feel comfortable with it. I don't have any problem allowing somebody else to be an organizer and to handle it. Cause I just don't have time for doing all of that anyway. So do you find that to be true when you are an A-type, which you are, and then you have somebody else that's an A-type, but they do it well too.
Jackie: And as long as I do it well, because I'm always a follow-up to make sure you're following through.
unknown: Right.
Jackie: Does that make sense? I just have to like, okay, so well, where are we at here? What are we doing? That that's and I can't.
Jennifer: But you have to have some other a personality type that has come into your world that you find that can is quite capable and it allows you to step off the platform and lets them do it, and you're quite happy to do so because you're like, they got it on control, I don't have to worry about anything. It's just gonna be done. That's how I feel with you. Like it's just gonna get done and it's okay. I don't have to worry about that. Like that's not that's not something I need to worry about anymore. That's just the type in me.
Jackie: Yeah, I don't have that person.
Jennifer: Oh, okay. Sorry.
Jackie: No. I'm sure if I asked, if I asked one of the other girls to take over, they would step up and do it.
Jennifer: So of course I would. I just don't know. Would you they do it in the manner you would do it? Probably not. That would drive you nuts. That's the part that drives you nuts.
Jackie: That's me, yeah. Yeah.
Jennifer: Okay, who keeps your group from falling apart? You. I think for sure it's you. Don't you?
Jackie: I think all of us. I think all of us.
Jennifer: I think we all reached it. All of us too, but I think you're the main person that makes sure we don't we stay in touch with each other. Think so, really. I do. Alright. You're it. Okay. What's the one thing your friend does that used to annoy you, but now you appreciate?
Jackie: Friends used to do that annoyed you. I don't I can't think of anything at the moment.
Jennifer: I think if you annoyed me, I probably wouldn't be friends with you.
Jackie: I'd be done. Yeah, I'm really good with that. When they annoy me, it's like, okay, I'm not hanging out with you.
Jackie: Don't be standing by the phone waiting for my text or call. I just take you.
Jennifer: If you ever had to have a Jackie and she no longer speaks to you, you've annoyed the shit out of her. You did something. I don't know what it is, but you know, you've got to figure that out.
Jackie: No conflict, nothing. Just stop.
Jennifer: Just go my way. Yeah, it's easier. Okay. How do you repair after a clash? How do you repair after a clash in your group? I think we don't clash that much, but I guess if we do, I think we just kind of go into like wave the white flag.
Jackie: Like a Yeah, I feel like we Yeah, because there's been I I recall like an argument. I think it alcohol is involved too. Sure. But it, you know, we were at something and just like an argument went back and forth. But I think everybody just kind of gets quiet and just like kind of lets it go. Like it doesn't get to a a point where we're saying like going at each other and saying things we regret. You know what I mean? It's just speaking up to something like maybe you're just like, I just don't like it when you do that, or don't say that.
Jackie: You know what I mean? That type of thing. But nothing where anybody's done anything, at least in our group, yeah. Or they've said something that they regret or I shouldn't have said that, and you have to go back and apologize. I think our situation's always been maybe somebody's gotten a little just perturbed.
Jennifer: Yeah, you know, irritated involved for sure.
Jackie: And and the voices go up and they, you know.
Jennifer: Yeah.
Jackie: Because I think it kind of takes back to maybe when we were younger a little bit, maybe some of those situations.
Jennifer: Maybe.
Jackie: But I think it just just goes away. We I yeah, we just everybody kind of gets quiet and just lets it go.
Jennifer: I think it's good. Let's change the subject here because we gotta get off this one. This is not going down a good path, right? So I think that's that's where you need the comedian to come in and turn the the situation into a new head down another path.
Jackie: Luckily, it's like it's not like a I would say that it would be one in ten times of us getting together, you know what I mean? So that's good.
Jennifer: I think so. I think we can annoy each other once in a while and we have to just I think we just lay a little white flag. We just lay down our swords and go, I'm not gonna fight with you about this. Exactly. Probably because we've already fought about it before in another previous time and it turns into something that needs to not be, and there's just there's not enough of it. It's not that big of a deal that you have to stand your ground on it.
Jackie: Exactly.
Jennifer: Exactly. It's like, all right, if you want to be that way, then be that way. I'm gonna go over here and I'll talk to you in a few. So we we we navigate it, we get through it. Okay, what would your friendship look like if everyone embraced their rule fully? Yeah, we'd be a well-ordered machine, wouldn't we?
Jackie: That's not true, live people.
unknown: That's not gonna happen.
Jennifer: Oh my god, there's a goal. There's a goal we could all go for. Let's assign these to the let's just so the next time we go somewhere it would be like you think you're gonna be this person, you're gonna be this person.
Jackie: I think we could add a few more to it though. I think there's more. I mean, this is there? I don't know. It could be a lot more. I just think there can be.
Jennifer: Well, there could always be more. Somebody gotta cut things off though, because we can go into like, you know, years and years of it. So anyways, I think if we just if we uh we were all embracing our full role, we would just have which we already do. We have fun. And we also switch roles and we also change positions and we do so for, you know, we are we pretty much let everybody kind of be whoever they want to be without actually making them into a role. I would probably if you were some of these things and you were just one of these things, you'd probably be I don't know, it would be tougher to deal with you.
Jennifer: So the fact that we can kind of pivot, move around, and um change roles, I think is part of the fun too. But anyways, those are the uh six archetypes. I'll just go over one again again the organizer, the free spirit, the emotional one, the comedian, the peacemaker, and the truth teller. Those are the six that um you should try to think about which best E is that and kind of give me them all. Give them grace, because you need them all. All right, even when they drive us crazy. Even when they drive you crazy, you need them, man.
Jennifer: All right. If this episode hit you in the feels or made you laugh way too hard, we consider that a win.
